Zip Ode 06461

I entered this into a Zip Odes contest. It was an awesome idea, an ode to your zip code where each line had as many words as the corresponding number in your zip code. If you had a zero, you left that line blank.

I didn’t win (here’s a link to the winners, who are awesome), and I don’t think I’ll have an opportunity to publish it somewhere else so I’m posting it on here.

  1. I read your article about the female owner of In-N-Out Burgers. The story of this company is about the founder Harry Snyder and his wife Esther. The success this company enjoys is because of the man, Harry Snyder, his business philosophy and management style had a singleness of purpose that created what we see today known as In-N-Out Burgers Inc. Although wealthy and now in control of the company she had nothing to do with the early years of formation of the business. A few very focused men who Harry surrounded him self with and ran the three stores he had were the real heros of this firm. They are unknown and forgotten but critical to what we know today as In-N-Out Burgers. I know, I was one of them and the story of the beginnings of the company, the real story has yet to be told because its not the story of a product or a firm but the story of the man, Harry Snyder.
